Sticky Rice

Sticky Rice (2012-) began as a collection of "selfies" at university and has since developed sporadically into an interdisciplinary project. The project documents interactions with the Australian flag and channels a growing number of narratives and techniques in the process. These include the enactment of mythological scenes, films, video games, day to day settings and camp aesthetics. In this way, the project can suggest questions about meaning, significance and representation, especially when considering the connections we make between people and objects.
